Thrift Store Associate

Scope of Position: This position supports Happy Tails Thrifty Outlets mission and core values by managing the inventory of thrift store donations and assisting customers and donors. 


Duties and Responsibilities:


*Assist donors with incoming donations 
*Clean, sort and price donations 
*Greet and assist customers
*Stock merchandise, set up product displays and clean retail area
*Pull out-of-date merchandise  

 Requirements: 

*Minimum age 18 years
*Reliable attendance and ability to work independently required 
*Have a high-level of reading, writing, spelling and communication skills 
*Have the ability to understand, remember and follow instructions and procedures; and the ability to ask questions when appropriate 
*Friendly and positive attitude 
*Ability to squat, bend, twist, lift or stand for up to two hours 
*Reliable transportation

 Schedule, Training and Commitment: 

*Training is hands on during your assigned shift
*Shifts: Tuesday-Saturday Noon-5pm Total 15 hours three days a week. 
*Consistent attendance required.

Animal Care Tech

We are seeking an energetic, dedicated individual to join our team as a kennel attendant/adoption counselor. Hours are 8am-Noon with rotating weekends. 50 hours a pay period.   This position is responsible for providing quality care and sanitary housing for all the shelter animals and also providing excellent customer service to the public. Duties include cleaning, feeding, medicating, enrichment, training, behavior modification, prepping animals for adoption, computer work and other tasks as needed. High School Diploma (GED equivalent) or College background preferred. 

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills, the ability to multi-task, good animal handling skills and a dedication to Happy Tails Humane Society’s mission.

 Responsibilities • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. • With each Clinic function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians. • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Wellness options, medications, and additional treatments. • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Happy Tails Web database. . • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.  

Requirements Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or two years' experience in a Clinic practice. Bring your talents, skills, dedication, and a desire for developing alongside your peers.
