Happy Tails Humane Society is growing! We are seeking an energetic, dedicated individual to join our team as an Animal Care Supervisor. Hours are 20 per week with every other weekend. This position is responsible for oversite of all Animal Care and also providing excellent customer service to the public. Duties include working with Volunteers and Staff to give excellent animal care in our shelter and Clinic. Computer work and other tasks as needed. High School Diploma (GED equivalent) or College level preferred. But not required.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills, the ability to multi-task, good animal handling skills and a dedication to Happy Tails Humane Society’s mission.

Veterinary Technician

 Responsibilities • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. • With each Clinic function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians. • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Wellness options, medications, and additional treatments. • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Happy Tails Web database. . • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.  

Requirements Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or two years' experience in a Clinic practice. Bring your talents, skills, dedication, and a desire for developing alongside your peers.
